Good and Bad news

Hello, everyone!

A long time passed since the last time I wrote with news. Last weeks were mostly intense and I didn’t want to make small updates with no almost no content. But! Here I am and I am going to make a few updates for the projects I had been working on during my free time.

Summer Snow Day

First of all, I will start with some bad news. The project I had for Summer Snow Day got totally corrupted. Somehow, probably because Unity memory problems, I can’t open the old project without getting a lot of missing prefabs and unassigned values I had. I even tried reverting to a new commit, or just scrap it and download the whole project before that. Sadly, nothing worked.

The good thing, we decided to see the half full glass instead of fighting with that. We created a new project and started over again. This time, I am using everything I learnt from my new job and I am having a project a lot cleaner than before. Also, because all the art is done and only code is needed, the progress is a lot faster than before.

Summer Snow Day current code tasks status

We also made a list of all the tasks we need in order to have everything working once again and we are already more than a half done!

For last, we have a new addition to the team. Lauta, one of the programmers of Sense of Unity, started working with me on the code so that will give a us a lot of extra speed for now and for the future.

Is this still tennis?

Secondly, with Roberto we had been making some progress on this project that I had been calling “Is this still tennis?” for now. New projectiles and new art assets had been added to the project.

Trying out the bone projectile

We still don’t have too much to show but I hope to have more in a near future. Meanwhile, you can follow me on Twitter to get some small updates as often as I can.

More

Other than this, I had been focusing on learning new things for my job that will also help me in my personal projects. Hopefully, I will make good use of them and you will notice 🙂

I will try to come up with more updates in the near future. Hope you are taking care of yourself and your loved ones. Thank you for reading.
