2024 Resume + Start of 2025

Hello, everyone!

Even every year is getting a bit more difficult to have more time for personal projects, here I am once again making a recap and bringing you updates as previous years. You can check the last resume if you want by clicking here.

This time I am going to talk about Summer Snow Day, Kami No Shinzo, Riverside Rumble, my work at etermax working on Word Crack and Trivia Crack World, and other stuff I had been doing. So let’s begin!

Summer Snow Day

This year we finished all the side plot chapters and we advance a lot regarding the minigames and the game itself. Right now, only polishment and wrapping minigames left so it is being very promising!

Also, a huge new update is that we are already available to be wishlisted on Steam. So please, go and wishlist it on Steam! I am really hoping to have the demo working pretty soon and let’s hope the game releases also pretty soon.

Kami no Shinzo

This year we made Kami no Shinzo, a game for the Scream Jam 2024. It was the only game I properly released as indie this year but I am pretty happy with the results in all aspects, specially how I made the doors open and the hair of the monster move.

I still have to upload the post-mortem for that, maybe that will be my next post about it, so stay tuned for updates and hope you enjoyed playing the game!

Riverside Rumble

For Riverside Rumble, there isn’t much left. We had been adjusting the scope and making it more of a competitive leaderboard game or just trying to get the highest score possible as you could do in other games I worked on such as Asterash.

Apart from this, I had been polishing some gameplay mechanics and controls based on FuNaNdMoRe feedback input and we are now waiting for him to get a bit more free to be able to polish some details before releasing the game. I hope this year we finally make it and release the game. Fingers crossed!

Word Crack and Trivia Crack World

This year I started it by working on Trivia Crack World. By August I actually got moved to Word Crack which has been proved to be a really fun challenge. I moved to have a game with a low player base to have a huge daily number of users.

Apart from the new learnings of Word Crack and loving this new challenge that came with also the responsibility to manage Trivia Crack Adventure and Word Crack Mix 2, a few months after I left Trivia Crack World got released on the Meta Store! So I guess it was a good year in balance regarding my stable job.

Other stuff I had been doing

For last, I had been also working on small prototypes to test out new stuff. I believe at some point I am going to be finishing some projects and I like to keep busy doing always new stuff.

This year, for example, I updated the Framework Goat and now it works as a GitHub unity package making it a lot easier and friendlier to add and update for their users. Also, I started working on Twitch Mono Integration which I would love to be able to use it for my future game jam games.

Of course, I do have a lot of small prototypes that don’t see the light, but I hope that two of them will show up maybe at some point this year? Who knows!

Anyway, thank you for reading, I hope you had a great year as I did and see you soon, stay tuned!
