Hello, everyone!
So I had been working on many of my projects which I am going to update but first, I have a quick announcement!
Next week I will be participating in Brackeys Game Jam 2022.1 with Lauta, Martín, and Santi from previous games jams such as Paw Pals and Yemita. Also, we had already participated with Lauta and Santi in a previous Brackeys Game Jam and made Ostrich Run which is still one of my favorite games I made during a game jam so make sure you take a look at it if you didn’t yet!
As always, I will try to publish updates on my Twitter Account, and later I will make a post-mortem with the results!
Dungeon with Dices
I had been adding a few extra feedbacks to this game I am jumping on while I work on the other projects.
One of the new additions is small feedback that tells what effects you currently have. For example, in the image, you can see that it has bonus damage on its next attack. Of course, it still needs some extra feedback but I think it is a good start for now and we will have this extra information.
Also, new feedback I added is when a unit, player, or enemy, receives damage. Now a small text pops from the unit and it shows the totally damage it received.
Next, I will probably start working on the inventory. I still don’t have too much of it except for the weapons but I think that we can start adding more and more content thanks to the solid base the game already has regarding code.
Is This Still Tennis
For Is This Still Tennis I had been working on the alligator enemy with its new projectile. We had been thinking about how are we going to add more variety to the game and make it feel more dynamic. One of the ideas is that once we have all the enemies, we start mixing their order and difficult progress to make it feel you are going against all of them, one per wave, so that is probably going to be my focus for the next weeks.
In the meantime, FuNaNdMoRe has been making some awesome art for the UI and he will be probably integrating it into the game so I will be also adding code on that side if it is necessary to do so!
Stonks
Meanwhile, I finished all the functionality for the surety system for Stonks and I had been making some general polishes to the game top bar.
Also, Agustín has already started implementing art and the game is starting to look really good. There is still a lot of work to do but I feel that is more and more promising every week!
Summer Snow Day
For last, I had been working on a small minigame that Yoshira will give to the player as a challenge. For now, it doesn’t have art but we already have it fully functional so only the art needs to be added.
Apart from it, Chad is still working on the dialogues for the game so we didn’t add new content regarding that yet. I hope we can add more updates soon in the near future and go back to sharing some screenshots on Twitter.
