I have news about the bullet hell game and Witchcraft!

First of all, for the bullet hell we have a lot of new features. We started working with the Newgrounds API so we have a highscore system working and tons of medals too. We plan to add a larger gameplay life to the game adding this two new features.

Also, we have two new enemies. One of them is a ship that will spawn from the top and if you don’t kill it fast, it will fire a semi-circular wave of bullets. The other one, will be a new, and probably the last, set of enemies: the elite ships. This ships will behave similarly to the already existing enemies, and will have similar visuals except for a few changes, but will move faster, have more armor and fire a lot more than the ship it is based.

Finally, we added menu screens, a preloader and changed some visuals in game. Inside of this visuals, we have a new background system working. Now, every x ammount of time, the background will change and clouds will cover, partially, the screen making difficult to see where the enemies are. Also, with this background, we want to keep the game as fluid as possible, so we will be having this looping background always. You will just spawn there when you press play. The goal of this is to have the whole interaction as fluid as possible.

Meanwhile, for Witchcraft, if you read my last post Steamworks first thoughts you already know that we have the latest build working in Steam. Though it is private and only a few can see it, we can already test it there. Also, we already have a Skill Selection screen working. It stills needs addons but it is working and playable. At last, Hugo is working on the new art of the level, this time he will use ZBrush so it should look a lot better, we plan to have the early access around June, if not before, so stay tuned!
