New Framework Goat that uses Haxe and OpenFL

Hello everyone,

So I started making a new framework, which will have a goat as animal, that uses Haxe and OpenFL. The main goal of this new framework is to be as similar as possible to Framework Mono but in Haxe. So I will be able to work using Haxe as I do when working with Action Script 3.

Why I started making this, you ask? Mostly, popular pressure. I had been, and I am, a AS3 and Flash fanboy. But, since everyone is leaving AS3 because Adobe doesn’t make enough efforts to update it, I decided to find an alternative. This doesn’t mean I am leaving AS3 or Flash, I will keep working on them until they lose support. Also, it is cool to learn a new programming language!

And why did I pick Haxe instead of others? Well, first I picked Haxe with OpenFL, not Haxe alone. This is because, as the AS3 and Flash fanboy I am, it is the most similar thing to working as I had been doing (though it is not the same). It gives me a great freedom to build to a lot of platforms like Windows, Linux, Flash, HTML5, Android… and also, it is open source! Both of them! So you should support this!

As always, I also make my Frameworks open source, so you can find everything in the Framework Goat page or in the GitHub!

Finally, this week won’t be a Sunday DevLog update, we advanced a little on every project but not too much because it was my birthday this week and also christmas and new year are coming. Anyway, next week there should be a Sunday DevLog with what we have done in both weeks.

Thanks a lot for reading!
