Hi everyone!

So…new Sunday Devlog! This week I have been working in Witchcraft and the bullet hell project.

We have a few updates for Witchcraft. The most important one is that we added new AI levels of difficulty. Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert will be available for players to pick. If you have already played it, you played it against the Hard difficulty. So, congrats if you could defeat it! Summing up, the AI difficulties work like this:

  • Easy – It will take a longer time to make decisions and it will not plan too far into the future. Also, it won’t use dash or try to avoid most skills. It will be perfect for new players since it will be easy to hit but will also make you avoid their skills and move around.
  • Medium – This one takes a bit of time to make decisions but not too much. This one will be making plans for the future. Also, it will use dash, but not frequently, and will try to avoid many of the skills. It should be a nice set to give a challenge to advanced players.
  • Hard – This is the one that you can try out in the demo. This one will make long term plans, use dash frequently and combine those dashes to avoid most of skills. This level of difficulty is recommended for experienced players since it will give most of players a hard time, though not even close to perfect or impossible.
  • Expert – Our most difficult IA configuration. Added to what the Hard difficulty presents, it also tries to avoid hitting teammates, has a higher response when trying to avoid skills and plans where the player will be when the skill arrives. This way, this difficulty represents a big challenge to experienced players.

Also, as you already know, we are still on greenlight! So go and check it out and give us an upvote!

And about the Bullet Hell, this week we added a new enemy. This one will be a light one that can be killed with only one hit of any weapon. We wanted to make this one so it will just spawn and go to the position where you are. In a close future, it will move in groups, so it will make those nice movements they do in Bullet Hell.

That’s all for now, thanks for reading!
